Egypt, Jordan Ink MoU to Boost Expertise Exchange

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with his Jordanian counterpart Saleh Al-Kharabsheh during the MENA Europe Future Energy Dialogue (MEFED 2022) to support and enhance cooperation in training and expertise exchange between the two countries, especially in the fields of mineral resources, petrochemical industries, and oil and gas.

A number of areas of cooperation were outlined in the MOU, including exchanging experiences and technologies transferring experiences, and exchanging expertise in the field of laboratory analysis of mineral ores, including gold projects.

A decision was also reached to send experts to Jordan to qualify and train technical cadres in the fields of mineral wealth, petrochemical industry, oil and gas, and to set up specialized training programs in training centers available in the two brotherly countries, and to use the skills and expertise of Egyptian companies to develop expansion in the fields and activities of oil and natural gas in Jordan.
