Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, met with First Vice President and Head of Client Services Group at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Jürgen Rigterink, to discuss cooperation opportunities in financial and operational support for a number of ongoing petroleum projects, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The projects included a new diesel treatment unit at the Alexandria Petroleum Company and another project for gas utilization in petroleum fields, all of which aim to achieve the best economic benefit and environment enhancement.
This comes in line with the ministry’s strategy to boost operational efficiency in oil and gas projects. The two officials further discussed funding the carbonization complex in Suez.
Rigterink expressed EBRD’s readiness to give all the support and expand cooperation as he praised the positive developments in the Egyptian oil and gas sector.
