Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC) signed a protocol with the Vocational Training and Productive Families Association for establishing new social project (Shabab El Kher) in North Sinai.
The agreement is to re-operate the Vocational Training Center for youth especially those with special needs and train them on carpentry profession and empower women in this profession for the first time in Egypt in addition to participate in rehabilitating the homes of the neediest villages in the governorate.
This protocol comes within the framework of the petroleum sector’s social responsibility strategy, which expands the implementation of many community initiatives to support and improve education, healthcare, training, economic empowerment services, and support people of disabilities, youth, and women in various regions of Egypt’s governorates.
It is expected to deliver 500 doors and windows made by young people who were trained to contribute to rehabilitating homes in North Sinai villages, and the delivery will take place in a convoy sponsored by the governorate.
