Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, has reshuffled the leadership of several petroleum sector companies to fill vacant positions following the retirement of their previous officeholders, while appointing new leaders as part of ongoing efforts to improve performance and strengthen management efficiency.

The appointments are part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ efforts to renew leadership, invest in human resources, empower qualified personnel, and maximize the benefits of accumulated experience, according to a statement by the petroleum ministry.

Emad Mostafa Attia El-Nabrawy was named Chairman of Amreya Petroleum Refining Company (APRC). He joined the company in 2002. His career includes roles in naphtha treatment and upgrading, followed by General Manager of Development and Technology at Alexandria Petroleum Company in 2021.

Osama Abdel Rahman Morsy Youssef has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO). Youssef began his career at the company in 2007 and progressed through several positions, becoming Assistant Chairman for Production in 2019, followed by Vice Chairman for Plant Operations.

Mohamed Hassan Mohamed El-Dabour has been assigned as Chairman and Managing Director of El Hamra Oil Company, effective October 24, 2026. El-Dabour began his career at Western Desert Petroleum Company (WEPCO) in 2002. He rose through several positions, becoming Assistant General Manager of Reservoir Management and Performance Monitoring at Abu Qir Petroleum Company in 2015, then General Manager of Reservoir Engineering in 2018, before serving as General Manager of Operations and a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

Sherif Mohamed Anwar Kotb has been chosen as Chairman and Managing Director of Magawish Petroleum Company  (Magapetco), effective December 13, 2026. Kotb began his career at Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) in 2006. He was assigned several roles since then to  become Assistant General Manager of Operations Project Engineering at GUPCO in 2019, before serving as General Manager of Operations and a member of the Board of Directors at PetroAmir Petroleum Company.

Ihab Eid Hanafy Mohamed Ibrahim was appointed Assistant Chairman for Exploration and Development at Khalda Petroleum Company. Ibrahim began his career at Tharwa Petroleum Company in 2008, He advanced along the administrative ladder to be assinged General Manager of Exploration and a member of the Board of Directors at PetroShahd Company in 2019.

Mohamed Hussein El-Sayed Abdel Rahman has been appointed Assistant Chairman for Exploration and a member of the Board of Directors at PetroShahd Company. He began his career at Suez Oil Company (SUCO) in 2003 and steadily moved up the administrative ranks, becoming General Manager of Exploration and a member of the Board of Directors at South Abu Zenima Petroleum Company (PetroZenima) in 2019, followed by the same position at Petrosannan Company in 2023.

El-Sayed Mohamed Mahmoud El-Beheiry has been named Assistant Chairman for Exploration and a member of the Board of Directors at PetroSila Petroleum Company. El-Beheiry began his career at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and served as General Manager of Technical Oversight of Exploration and Service Contracts.

Abeer Mostafa Ahmed El-Turkey has been appointed Assistant Chairman for Contracts and Tenders at Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel). She began her career as an engineer at Rashpetco and then progressed through various ranks, becoming  General Manager for Contracts and Tenders in 2018.

Amr Fathy Sayed Mostafa has been selected as Assistant Chairman for Contracts and Materials at GUPCO. He began his career at the company in 1992 and progressed through several positions, becoming General Manager of Contracts and Materials in 2023.

Mohamed Mahmoud Yassin Mansour has been appointed Assistant Chairman for Contracts at PetroBakr Petroleum Company. He began his career at Khalda Petroleum Company in 1996, progressing to General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at PetroShahd Company in 2016.

Aml Ahmed Taha Abdel Salam has been selected for the role of General Manager of Exploration and a member of the Board of Directors at Rashid Petroleum Company (Rashpetco). She began her career at the Company as a geophysicist in 2006. Then, she progressed through several positions, becoming General Manager of Development and Information Systems in 2023.

Hassan Abdel Rahman Mahmoud Youssef has been selected for the role of General Manager for Exploration and a member of the Board of Directors at Petrosannan Company. Youssef began his career at Badr El Din Petroleum Company (Bapetco) in 2004. He progressed through several positions, becoming Assistant General Manager of Studies and Field Development in 2019, then General Manager of Development Geology in 2023.

Ahmed Ibrahim Zaki Mohamed has been promoted to General Manager of Exploration and a member of the Board of Directors at PetroZenima. He began his career at South Valley Egyptian Holding Company for Petroleum (GANOPE) in 2006, progressing to General Manager of Petroleum Discoveries Evaluation and Development Contracts Monitoring in 2023.

Ahmed Ismail Ismail Hassan has been selected for the role of General Manager of Exploration and a member of the Board of Directors at Gemsa Petroleum Company (Gempetco). He began his career in 2012 at GUPCO where he was promoted to  General Manager of Petrophysics and Geological Operations in 2023.

Marwa Saleh Hussein Saleh Suleiman has been chosen for the role of General Manager of Contracts at GUPCO. She began her career at the company in 1995 and progressed through several positions, becoming General Manager of Contracts and Materials in 2022.

Maha Abdel Aal Ibrahim Mohamed has been assigned as General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at PetroShahd Petroleum Company. She began her career at Agiba Petroleum Company in 2003, progressing to General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at PetroSila in 2022.

Rasha Sayed Helmy El-Beltagy has been chosen for the role of General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at Amal Petroleum Company (AMAPETCO). She began her career at Khalda Petroleum Company in 2002 and rose through several ranks, becoming General Manager of Contracts in 2022.

Heba Mohamed Abdel Rahim Attia has been chosen for the role of General Manager of Contracts at Khalda Petroleum Company. She began her career at the company in 2002 and rose through positions, becoming General Manager of Contracts and Materials in 2021.

Fatma Sayed Imam Ahmed has been named General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at Borg El Arab Petroleum Company (BORAPETCO). She started her career at Petrobel in 1994, progressing to Assistant General Manager of Contracts at Agiba Petroleum Company in 2015, then General Manager of Contracts in 2022.

Mohamed Fouad Abboud El-Sherif has been chosen for the role of General Manager of Contracts at Offshore Shukheir Oil Company (OSOCO) and Mansoura Petroleum Company. He began his career in the petroleum sector as a specialist at Suez Oil Company (SUCO).

Walid Raafat Imam Abou El-Ela has been selected as General Manager of Contracts at PetroAmir Petroleum Company. El-Ela began his career at Khalda Petroleum Company in 1998 and rose through positions, becoming Assistant General Manager of Contracts and Tenders Monitoring at Borg El Arab Petroleum Company in 2015, then General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at the same company in 2024.

Mohamed Sayed Abdel Wahed El-Sayed has been chosen for the role of General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at PetroSila Company. He started his career at Gampetco in 2003 and progressed through several positions, becoming General Manager of Contracts and Tenders in 2022.

Khaled Abdel Aziz Mohamed El-Gohary has been chosen for the role of General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at Rashpetco. He began his career at Suez Oil Company in 2007, progressing to General Manager of Contracts and Tenders at Petrobel.

Mohamed Hussein Abou El-Ela Ali has been assigned as General Manager of Services at GUPCO. He began his career at the company in 1992 and progressed through several positions, becoming General Manager of Contracts and Materials in 2021.

Rasha Adel Othman Mohamed Refaat has been selected as General Manager of the Materials Department at Amal Petroleum Company (AMAPETCO). She began her career at Bapetco in 2000 and progressed through several positions, becoming Assistant General Manager of Materials and Transportation Services in 2021.

Amany Mahmoud Ibrahim Ahmed has been selected as General Manager of the Materials Department at BORAPETCO. She started her career as a specialist at GUPCO in 2007 and progressed through positions, becoming Assistant General Manager for Drilling and Exploration Contracts within the company’s Contracts and Materials Department in 2022.

Mohamed Mahmoud Mohamed El Bakly has been selected as Assistant General Manager for the Materials Department at Petronefertiti. He started his career at SOCO in 1993 and rose through the ranks, becoming General Manager of the Materials Department at PetroBakr Petroleum Company in 2023.

Sameh Eid El-Sayed El-Saadawy has been selected as General Manager of the Materials Department at PetroBakr Petroleum Company. He started his career at Gabal El Zeit Petroleum Company in 1996 and rose through several ranks, becoming General Manager of Materials at PetroNefertiti Company in 2022.

Ehab Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim has been selected as Assistant Chairman for the Materials Department at Petrobel. He began his career at Khalda Petroleum Company in 1992 and progressed through several positions, becoming Assistant General Manager of Materials at Ampetco in 2018.

Omar Ahmed Shawky Mohamed has been selected as General Manager of the Materials Department at Alamein Petroleum Company. He began his career at Rashpetco in 2003 and progressed through several positions, becoming Assistant General Manager of Materials in 2019, then General Manager of Procurement in 2023.

Mohamed Mahrous Ahmed Mohamed has been selected as General Manager of Materials at Abu Qir Petroleum Company. Mohamed started his career at Western Desert Petroleum Company (WEPCO) in 1996 and rose through several positions, becoming General Manager of Materials Inventory Control at Abu Qir Petroleum Company in 2024.
