Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources,  issued new transfers and assignments, including several ministry leaders as well as chairmen and board members of affiliated companies. This falls within the ministry’s plan to develop the administrative structure, inject fresh talent, and enhance operational efficiency across various work sites.

Ahmed Mohamed  Abbas has been appointed Head of the Central Administration for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR). His most recent title was  Assistant Executive Managing Director for CSR activities at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS).

Youssef Salah El-Din Badri Marwan has been assigned as General Manager for Monitoring Petroleum Contracts and Agreements, with oversight of mining contract and agreement follow-up at the ministry, effective May 24. He began his career at the Petroleum Marine Services Company (PMS) in 2001. He advanced through various positions until becoming Assistant General Manager in the Agreements and Exploration Sector in 2017, and later General Manager of the sector in 2024.

Walid Mohamed Mohamed El-Aasar has been appointed Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Petrogulfmisr. He began his career at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) in 2002. He advanced through several leadership positions, including serving as Chairman of PetroSinai Company, and later as Chairman of both Offshore Shukair Oil Company (OSUCO) and El Mansoura Petroleum.

Mohamed Ali Mohamed Ali AbdAllah has been assigned as Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Offshore Shukair Oil Company (OSUCO)  and El Mansoura Petroleum Company. He began his career at the General Petroleum Company (GPC) in 2003. He advanced through the ranks until he became General Manager of the Eastern Desert Fields, and later Assistant Chairman for Operations.

Mohamed Khamis Ahmed El-Shabasy has been appointed Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Amal Petroleum Company (AMAPETCO). He began his career at West Bakr Petroleum Company in 2007. He advanced until becoming General Manager of Operations and a member of the Board of Directors.

Ahmed Shehata Ahmed Hussein has been assigned Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Petroleum Trading Service Company (Petrotrade). He began his career in the oil and gas sector at EGPC in 2005. He advanced through several leadership positions, most notably serving as Chairman of the Egyptian Petroleum Services Company (EPSCO) in 2020.

Yasser Mabrouk Abdel-Salam Mabrouk has been appointed as Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of EPSCO. He began his career in the oil and gas sector at EGPC in 2003. He advanced until becoming General Manager of Accounting for Production Companies at the EGPC.

Ahmed Hamed Fathallah Khalil has been assigned Assistant Executive Managing Director for Environmental Protection, with oversight of occupational safety and health activities at the EGAS. He began his career in the sector at the Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company (WEPCO) in 1997. He advanced through the ranks, holding multiple leadership positions in operations and production.

Hany Mohamed Tawfik Mohamed Hussein has been appointed Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Suez Safety Outfitters Company (SSO), in addition to his original role. He began his career at Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (SIDPEC) in 1999. He advanced until becoming General Manager of Environmental Protection at several petrochemical companies, and later assumed leadership positions in the Ministry’s Safety and Environment Sector.
