Egypt Energy and FIREX Egypt 2026 exhibitions and conferences will open on October 12 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC), bringing together more than 200 exhibitors from 25 countries to discuss energy transition, renewable power, grid modernization, and industrial safety.
Organized by inD, the three-day exhibitions are expected to attract more than 12,000 visitors and feature the 35th edition of Egypt Energy and the sixth edition of FIREX Egypt. The events are held under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, and the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency.
The exhibitions will address investment opportunities across the energy value chain, including renewable energy generation, electricity transmission and distribution, energy storage, and regional interconnection projects. Fire protection sessions will focus on industrial facilities, high-risk sectors, and the integration of digital technologies into safety systems.
The event comes as Egypt seeks to expand renewable energy capacity, modernize its electricity grid, and strengthen its position as a regional energy hub. The government’s updated energy strategy targets a renewable energy share of more than 42% of the energy mix by 2030, rising to over 60% by 2040, according to statements reported by the State Information Service in October 2025.
Egypt Energy’s conference program will examine financing strategies for energy projects, public-private partnerships, and the development of solar, wind, energy storage, and microgrid technologies. Discussions will also cover electricity market developments and cross-border power connections.
The agenda will address grid modernization and the challenges of integrating additional renewable generation into the national electricity network. It will also feature a Technical Excellence Forum and an Innovation Challenge, offering startups an opportunity to present new technologies and solutions.
A dedicated Energy Club will connect exhibitors with pre-vetted buyers from Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Sudan, Morocco, Kenya, and other Middle Eastern markets. According to the organizers, the platform combines artificial intelligence-powered business-to-business matchmaking with human curation to align suppliers with buyers’ procurement needs, project pipelines, and technical requirements.
Egypt’s electricity investment plans have included expanding generation capacity, strengthening transmission infrastructure, and increasing cross-border electricity exchange. The Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation reported in September 2025 that the government’s fiscal year 2025/2026 plan allocated EGP 136.3 billion in investments to the electricity and renewable energy sector. The plan also targeted electricity interconnection capacity of approximately 3,900 megawatts, supporting Egypt’s ambition to connect regional energy markets.
