Badawi Meets with ADES CEO, Discusses Drilling Operations

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with Mohamed Farouk, CEO of ADES, and his accompanying delegation, to review the company’s operations and discuss means of boosting production.

The meeting reviewed ADES’ work programs, which include drilling exploration and production wells in the Abu Rudeis region, operated by the Suez Oil Company (SUCO), and the Gulf of Suez region, operated by the General Petroleum Company (GPC). Additionally, the company’s future plans to enhance crude oil production rates through the use of advanced technologies were also discussed.

Badawi commended ADES for its achievements in the Ras Budran field in the Abu Rudeis region, which has recently led to significant increases in crude oil production. He also affirmed the Ministry’s and EGPC’s commitment to offering full support in attracting new investments for oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production activities.

For his part, Farouk emphasized that collaboration with EGPC played a key role in achieving notable results, driven by the incentives introduced by the ministry to enhance production and align the interests of all stakeholders. He also expressed ADES’ eagerness to expand exploration and development drilling operations, citing promising petroleum indicators and positive results expected to further boost production rates in their areas of operation, both in the Abu Rudeis and Gulf of Suez regions.
