Phase 2 of Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) system is almost completed, according to Adel Ayyad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperation Company for Petroleum, Al Mal reported.

This is the second phase of the petroleum product control system, wherein ATG is used in fuel stations and warehouses to keep track of the diesel and gasoline stock. Currently, the company has integrated the system within 900 company-owned fuel stations during the first phase, while targeting an additional 150 fuel stations in the second phase, Ayyad said.

Recently, the company has been given a green light to establish new fuel stations in Egypt. The company currently has 1,250 fuel stations all over Egypt and intends to increase them by 20-25 gas stations during H2 FY 2020/21.
