McDermott International has won a lump sum contract from Saudi Aramco for offshore brownfield work, announced Trade Arabia.

The award comes hot on the heels of the second Long Term Agreement (LTA) McDermott and Saudi Aramco had signed in June for EPCI (integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation services) opportunities in various offshore fields in Saudi Arabia.

According to Gulf News Journal the projects to be executed are under a fixed-price contract, and will be conducted in-country, with a significant portion of the engineering and fabrication expected to be carried out by McDermott’s company’s Saudi-based engineering office in Al Khobar and its fabrication facility in Dammam.

The duration of the contract is expected to continue till the end of the second quarter of 2018.
