AEDC Issues Tenders for Infrastructure Development

The Alexandria Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), an affiliate of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), issued six tenders for local firms as a part of its plans to refurbish and develop its infrastructure, an official source at AEDC told Al Mal News.

The first tender was launched for the companies to supply oil transformers with different capacities, the source pointed out. The value of the tender’s terms booklet is around EGP 2000 and companies will need to submit bids by April 1, 2018.

The second tender includes the supply of 3 in 4 XPLE copper cables with a voltage of 12/20 kV. The value of the tender’s terms booklet the tender is about EGP 20,000, and the bids will be received and the envelopes opened at the end of March 2018.

The source further stated that AEDC aims to invest up to EGP 150 million during fiscal year 2017/2018.  The company will increase the number of kiosks and low-voltage and medium-voltage transformers, and increase the capacity and efficiency of its network.
