ADNOC, TotalEnergies Sign Agreement for CCS, Hydrogen

The UAE’s Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. has signed an agreement with TotalEnergies to explore areas of mutual interest, the Abu Dhabi government’s media office said.

The scope of the agreement includes boosting cooperation in the fields of carbon capture and storage (CCS), low-carbon hydrogen and talent development. This came during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to the UAE.

Furthermore, on the sidelines of his visit, Borouge and French company Technip have signed a AED 5.8 billion partnership agreement to expand Borouge 4 facility in Ruwais. The agreement awards one of five Engineering Procurement, Commissioning, and Construction (EPC) contracts to the French company, part of a consortium with Target Engineering, to expand Borouge, making it the world’s largest single-site polyolefin complex.
