Alexandria Company for Petroleum Additives (ACPA) and Amalie Oil Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that could see the two companies working together to produce and market Amalie’s lubricants in Egypt, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The proposed partnership would cover several projects including the production of the American company’s lubricants in ACPA’s plants, and marketing them in Egypt, Africa, the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
This would be first project of its kind in the Middle East to manufacture and market chemically synthesized oils depending on the available crude material, according to ACPA head, Hany Marwan.
President of Amalie Harry Barkett said that this would be the company’s first partnership outside of the US.
