Egypt is the 3rd Arab Country in Gas Consumption

Egypt has recorded the third place among Arab natural gas consuming countries, as it consumes 11.8% of the Arab natural gas total consumption.

Petroleum Consumption Decreases

Egypt’s consumption of petroleum products dropped to 3.094 million tons in August, as 6.3% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) decline from 3.302 million tons in August 2016.

Fuel Exports Rise by $127M

The value of Egypt’s fuel exports increased by $127.335 million dollars from June 2016 to June 2017.

Egypt’s Fuel Imports Reach $819M in June

The Egyptian oil and gas sector imported fuel for $819 million in June 2017, making around 30.6% Year-over-Year (Y-o-Y) increase from $627 million worth fuel in June 2016.

Lower Y-o-Y Diesel Consumption in July

Egypt's consumption of diesel decreased 0.9% to 1.165 million tons in July 2017, compared to 1.176 million tons in the same period of 2016.

Egypt’s Gas Production Rises

Egypt’s production of natural gas rose to 3.19 million tons in June, a year-on-year (y-o-y) increase of 26.5% from last year’s 2.52 million tons.

Egypt Cut Fuel Import Bills by 23%

Egypt's fuel imports for the first five months of 2017 fell to $497 million from $645 million during the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 23%.

Egypt Exports $2.955B Worth of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products

Egypt exported approximately $2.955-billion worth of crude oil and petroleum products between July 2016 and March 2017.

Egypt’s Trade Deficit Falls 43.8%

Egypt's trade deficit decreased by 43.8% year-on-year in May.

Diesel Consumption Decreases

Diesel consumption in Egypt fell from 1.319 million tons in May of 2016 to approximately 1.178 million tons in May 2017, a decline of 141,000 tons.
