Vallourec & BAPETCO Sign Contract for Gas Wells

Vallourec signed a contract with Badr El Din Petroleum Company (BAPETCO) to provide tubular services for 60 – 70 gas wells, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The wells are located in Egypt’s Western Desert.

“We are proud to have won this new contract in a market as competitive as Egypt,” the Senior Vice President of Vallourec’s Development and Innovation Department, Didier Hornet, said.

The value of the contract has not been announced.

Vallourec is a French company that specializes in tubular services for oil and gas development projects.

BAPETCO is a joint venture of Royal Dutch Shell and Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). It has approximately 238 million barrels of oil and 4,779 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas in accessible reserves.
