The Egypt Upstream gateway has provided an overview of the North El Nubariya block in the Western Desert, expected to be closed for bidding on December 14.
The block lies within the Nile Delta geological basin and spans an area of 3,244 square kilometers (km²). Seven wells have been drilled in the block.
It lies along the northeastern extension of the Alamein Basin and is near the NEAG-1 fields in the Western Desert, which have a reported production rate of 6,500 barrels per day (bbl/d). The Disouq development lease is also located to the northeast, within the Nile Delta cone.
