Chinese company Sinopec Corp. announced that it has received the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from Qatar, following its signing of a new term supply deal with Qatar Petroleum in 2021, Reuters reported quoting local state media.
As a part of the deal, Sinopec’s Tianjin terminal received a shipment of 94,000 tons of natural gas carried by the Al Sahla tanker earlier this week.
The two sides signed an agreement in March 2021 to supply 2 million tons of natural gas per year for ten years.
