Qatar Petroleum (QP) has signed a liquified natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Taiwan’s CPC Corporation (CPC) to supply 1.25 million tons per year (mmt/y) of LNG, according to a press release.

As per the agreement, QP will deliver LNG to CPC’s receiving terminals for a period of 15 years beginning in January 2022.

“We are pleased to enter into this long term LNG SPA, which is another milestone in our relationship with CPC that dates back to almost three decades. We look forward to commencing deliveries under this SPA and to continuing our supplies as a trusted and reliable global LNG provider”, said Qatari’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QP Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi.
