The Petroleum Safety and Environmental Services Company (PetroSafe) has concluded the first training program for Rig Operability Inspection and Safety Acceptance (ROISA) in the presence of a number of safety specialists from the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and various petroleum sector companies.
The participated trainees praised the scientific content related to conducting a comprehensive inspection of rigs to ensure their safety before starting operations, which reduces the possible accidents or malfunctions, and improves operational readiness to ensure that rigs operation according to safety and quality standards.
The implementation of the ROISA program comes as part of Petrosafe’s plan, which aims to support and develop the health, safety and environment (HSE) measures that contributes to enhancing the culture of safety and reducing risks in all drilling and production companies in the petroleum sector.
It is worth noting that the program was prepared based on the requirements of the HSE guide for drilling operations and well repair issued by the EGPC.
