Petroleum Companies Develop Musturod Area Roads

The petroleum geographical committee in Musturod has completed the development of roads in its area at a cost of EGP 21.7 million, according to a press release.

Hisham El Bakly‏, President of the Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC) and Chairman of the Petroleum Geographic Committee in Musturod, reported on the status of the committee’s projects, which are carried out in coordination between the petroleum companies. He added that another project to construct a new road above El Tawfikia canal is underway, and that it is fully funded by petroleum companies with a value of EGP 38 million.

Additionally, an EGP 90 million project to develop, and expand Al Ismailia Canal road is underway, alongside the construction of a corniche.

El Bakly remarks came during a meeting headed by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, who stressed on developing the capabilities of the oil companies operating in the Musturod area. He added that the area is an important pillar in providing fuel supplies to consumers in the local market through refining, transportation, trading and distribution activities

El Molla indicated that the ministry is working on a plan to increase dependence on specialized petroleum ports in several regions such as Sumed, Alexandria, Damietta, and others.
