Petrofac won a $160 million contract from Basra Oil Company for the Iraq Crude Oil Export Expansion Project (OCOEEP), Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The contract is a two-year extension of Petrofac’s current responsibilities.
Under the contract, Petrofac is responsible for operations and maintenance at an offshore facility approximately 60 kilometers from the El Fao Peninsula.
The facility supports the Basra Oil Company’s export operations by loading tankers. It includes a central platform, 300 kilometers of subsea pipes, and a fleet of 14 vessels, according to the press release.
“We are delighted to continue with our role in support of this key crude export facility. Since the start of our involvement in 2012, we have exported more than 2.2 billion barrels of oil,” Mani Rajapathy, a Managing Director at Petrofac, stated.
The company also just won an $800 million contract at the Khazzan natural gas field in Oman.
