Norpetco Inaugurates HSE Project with $1.3 MM

The North Baharia Petroleum Company (Norpetco) inaugurated a fire fighting system project in Janna and Sidra regions with $1.3 million to enhance the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) in oil and gas operations, according to General Trade Union for Petroleum Workers.

The project includes all civil works including control room, mechanical works of pressure pumps, fire water tanks with a capacity of 2,400 barrels (bbl), and fire system tasks through the Egyptian Maintenance Company (San Masr) and Sibay.

It is worth noting that the company obtained many quality and safety certificates including the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ISO-9001, ISO-45001, ISO-18001. Additionally, the company achieved during the past period the highest production rate since its inception, which is about 14,320 bbl of oil.
