Misr Petroleum Denies Rumors of Cheated Fuel Supply

The Chairman of Misr Petroleum Company, Mohamed Sha’ban, denied the rumors that spread on social media saying that “the company is providing cheated fuel in one of Heliopolis gas stations,” according to a press release from the Ministry of Petroleum to Egypt Oil&Gas.

He affirmed that the company is supplying more than 35% of  in Egypt cars with fuel through 1300 station all over the country. He also stressed on the company’s strict supervision on its  services and products.  The products are being tested at the quality control labs of Misr Petroleum, The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and the Ministry of Supply.

Shaban added that clarifying the truth and denying  this rumor is a national duty.

During January, Egyptian social media has claimed that the employees at  one the company’s fuel stations in Masr El Gededa are cheating fuel  and mixing it with water.  Car drivers were complaining from its negative effect on their cars.
