Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) began the operations of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) processing unit in Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery on October 25, according to the company’s spokesman, Reuters reported citing Kuwait news agency (KUNA).
The gas processing unit will have a production capacity of around 2,264 barrels per day (b/d), the spokesman pointed out.
It is worth observing that KNPC has two refineries: Mina Abdullah refinery and Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery. The two refineries have a production capacity of around 736,000 b/d of crude oil, in addition to a gas processing capacity of approximately 2.5 billion standard cubic feet per day (bscf/d).
