House of Representatives to Discuss Four Licensing Laws for E&P in Suez Canal

The Egyptian House of Representatives announced that it will discuss four laws licensing oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) on their next discussion session on Wednesday 21st June.

The agenda of the discussion session will include licensing the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla to contract with Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Trident Petroleum Company to amend their binding agreement for oil and gas E&P in East Offshore Ash El Melaha region at Suez Canal.

Also, they will discuss licensing the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to contract with EGPC for oil and gas E&P Offshore Sharq el Zeit concession area, at Suez Canal.

Additionally, it will include licensing the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to contract with EGPC for oil and gas E&P in Ashrafi concession area at Suez Canal.

The fourth law is for licensing the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to contract with EGPC for oil and gas E&P in Ras Al-Ash concession area at Suez Canal.
