Gazprom Develops Gas Processing Plants to Boost Production

Gazprom announced that its natural gas processing plants (GPPs) based in Russia are integrated into a single process chain of gas supplies, from hydrocarbon feedstock production to consumer deliveries.

The statement elaborated that the components that are extracted from gas are used to manufacture high-quality products which are in-demand in many industries.

The company explained that these developments are done with the aim of increasing the recovery rate of valuable components, in addition to the production and the range of the products.

Gazprom explained that it plans to launch ethane fraction production at the Astrakhan GPP, which will provide ethane fraction to the future gas chemical complex of Caspian Innovation Company. The statement also indicated that Orenburg GPP is expected to commence the first-ever production of substances activating the desulfurization processes while manufacturing motor fuels.
