ExxonMobil reported earnings of $7.5 billion in the third quarter (Q3) of 2025 compared to $7.08 billion recorded in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025. The company stated that the improved earnings were driven by advantaged volumes, record production in Guyana and the Permian basin, structural cost savings, and stronger crude realizations.

The company’s strong performance was underscored by cash flow from operations, which jumped significantly to $14.8 billion in Q3, up from $11.5 billion in Q2 2025. Furthermore, earnings from Upstream production recorded $5.679 billion in Q3, compared to $5.402 billion in the previous quarter.

ExxonMobil’s production in Q3 2025 increased by 139,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), reaching 4.8 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (mmboe/d). For the first nine months of the year, production recorded 4.65 mmboe/d.

The company’s total earnings during the first nine months of 2025 were $22.3 billion, a decline compared to $26.1 billion recorded in the same period in 2024.
