EMGF to Drive Growth in East Med Region at Two-Day Workshop Event

The East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) is set to host a strategic “Reenergizing the East Med” two-day workshop event on May 7-8, 2025, at Tolip El Galala Hills Hotel in Ain Sokhna, Egypt to support boosting natural gas production, strengthening regional cooperation, and accelerating EMGF’s implementation agenda. The event will bring together government officials, industry leaders, regulators, and technical experts to tackle the region’s most pressing challenges.

The first day of the workshop is expected to feature expert discussions and technical workshops, addressing key topics such as natural gas supply and exploration, infrastructure optimization strategies, and emissions reduction and decarbonization.

The second day will provide a comprehensive overview of EMGF’s new strategy and implementation roadmap, followed by breakout sessions aimed at translating strategies into actions.

The event will conclude with an executive roundtable, where participants will synthesize key insights from the technical workshops, align regulatory, technical, and commercial priorities, and outline a roadmap for EMGF initiatives for 2025–2026.

Established in 2019 at Egypt’s initiative, EMGF is an international organization that provides a platform for structured policy dialogue on natural gas in the East Mediterranean. Also known as EastMed, the Forum aims to develop shared strategies, promote a competitive regional gas market, and enhance security of both supply and demand.
