The General Petroleum Company (GPC) produced 33 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe) during fiscal year (FY) 2017/18, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The company’s daily output averaged 91,200 boe per day over the course of the previous fiscal year – the highest daily average since it started operations in 1956.
GPC head, Mohsen El Noubi, announced the company’s figures during the general assembly chaired by Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla.
The company added 36 million boe to reserves, and drilled a total of 33 exploratory and development wells during the 12-month period.
GPC’s total investments reached EGP 1.9 billion by the end of FY 2017/18.
