Egypt, Saudi Aramco Discuss Strengthening Energy Partnership and Expanding Joint Projects

On the sidelines of his participation in the IkTVA Conference and Exhibition, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with Saudi Aramco President and CEO Amin Nasser to discuss ways to strengthen their partnership in the energy sector and expand joint projects.

During the meeting, Badawi outlined Egypt’s future plans for the energy sector, highlighting ongoing reforms built around six main pillars to address current global challenges.

He also showcased the promising investment opportunities within the sector and detailed the measures implemented to create an attractive environment for investment across the sector’s value chain.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in the energy sector and increasing joint projects between Aramco and Egyptian companies, which will benefit everyone. These efforts come within the framework of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to enhance cooperation with global companies and attract more investments, with the aim of increasing production rates and maximizing the added value of the resources and infrastructure that Egypt possesses.
