China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced on 28 September that Jinzhou 25-1 oilfield 6/11 area had commenced production, according to a press release.

Jinzhou 25-1 oilfield 6/11 area is located in central Liaodong Bay in Bohai with an average water depth of 22.

There are a total of 19 production wells and 10 water injection planned for this particular oilfield and it is expected to reach the peak production of approximately 16,500 barrels of crude oil per day (bbl/d) by 2023.

In addition to fully utilizing the existing facilities of Jinzhou 25-1 oilfield and Jinzhou 25-1S oilfield, an eight-legged wellhead platform was also built to enhance oil production. 

CNOOC Limited holds a 100% interest in the Jinzhou 25-1 oilfield 6/11 area.
