Badawi Reviews Enppi’s Robust 2024 Performance

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi witnessed the proceedings of the general assembly meeting of the Engineering for the Petroleum & Process Industries (Enppi), the engineering and training arm of the petroleum sector, to discuss and approve the results of the 2024 business year.

During the meeting, Enppi Chairman Wael Lotfy stated that the year 2024 was full of achievements, as the head of Enppi explained that the company implemented major projects both domestically and internationally with the highest rates of quality and safety, including 10 projects outside of Egypt in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.

Lotfy added that local projects also included the implementation of expansions at the MIDOR refinery in Alexandria, the chlorine and hydrogen peroxide plant for El Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals in Abu Rawash, in addition to the agricultural greenhouse complex in El Lahoun.

Regarding the company’s financial performance, a net profit of EGP 2.7 billion was achieved (after taxes), while foreign projects constituted 88% of the company’s project revenues during 2024, compared to about 59% in 2023. This reflects the progress of the company’s external expansion strategy.

At the same time, the company continues to work on implementing other projects, most notably the Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC) diesel complex in Assiut and the expansions of the Dahshour natural gas compressor station.

Enppi recorded 89 million safe working hours, while the volume of work targeted for implementation until 2028 reached approximately $5.5 billion, with expectations of this figure increasing in the coming period with the acquisition of new projects.

As a reflection of the efforts exerted and the distinguished performance, Enppi achieved its highest ranking in its history among the top international companies, according to the Engineering News-Record (ENR) assessment for global company rankings in 2024.

During the meeting, Badawi stated that the successes achieved by Enppi within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in recent years open the door for further expansion and growth, which enhances its role in implementing major projects in the oil, gas, and infrastructure sectors at the level of the Arab world.
