Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, appointed new heads for several central departments at the Egyptian Mineral Resources and Mining Industries Authority (MRMIA). This comes within the ministry’s approach to empowering young talents and promoting them into leadership and executive positions in the mining sector, noted a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR).
Lamia Mohamed Anass has been appointed Head of the Central Department for Mining Projects at MRMIA. She began her professional career as an engineer at MRMIA, and gradually advanced through positions within the Authority until she became General Manager of the General Administration for the Technical Office and Board Affairs.
Mahmoud Fawzi Abdel Aaty has been assigned as Head of the Central Department for Technical Services at MRMIA. He started as an engineer at Misr Phosphate Company, and gradually advanced through positions within the company until he held the position of Director of Technical Affairs.
