Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, visited the Baraka oil field, operated by the South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope), in Kom Ombo, to track progress on a program aimed at restoring crude production from idle wells, according Petroleum Magazine.
During the visit, Badawi followed up on operations at the newly deployed rig, which is being used to implement a well maintenance program targeting a number of crude oil wells. The program aims to restore wells to production and support efforts to increase domestic crude oil output.
