Apache Corporation announced that Greg McDaniel has been appointed vice president and country manager for the company’s Egypt asset.
Mr. McDaniel, who has covered the interim role since May, joined Apache in 2001 and has served in operational and management roles with increasing responsibilities in the Permian Basin, Canada, as well as Egypt. He previously worked at Chevron petroleum company.
“I am honored to accept the vice president and country manager role in Egypt, and, along with our talented workforce, I am motivated to drive the region toward continued success,” said McDaniel. “Egypt’s energy sector has a promising future under the direction of Minister Karim Badawi, and we look forward to continuing to build our strong partnership with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. We will continue to work closely with Minister Badawi and his team as we further strengthen our commitments in the region.”
Also, effective October 1, Brian Hradecky will take over Mr. McDaniel’s previous role as Joint Venture and General Manager Khalda Petroleum Company (KPC). Mr. Hradecky’s career spans nearly two decades with Apache, working primarily in various roles in the company’s international assets. Most recently, he served as Apache’s General Manager, Egypt Upstream Exploration and Development. He also previously served as the General Manager of the Forties and Beryl fields in the United Kingdom.
