The president called for facilitating the payment process and simplifying the technical procedures, in addition to ensuring the adoption of proper technical procedures in conversion operations. He also asked the government to study the program of replacing old cars by new ones that run on natural gas in order to expand the conversion process and achieve economic savings for citizens.

In the same context, Al-Sisi urged for accelerating the implementation of new natural gas stations nationwide according to the latest international technologies in addition to ensuring effective use of infrastructure represented in the current fuel stations while guaranteeing the highest levels of health, safety and environment (HSE) standards.

This came during the president’ meeting with the Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, and the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to review the project of using natural gas as fuel.

For his part, El Molla showcased the efforts of the ministry in developing a value-added petrochemicals industry to meet the local market needs, support several industrial sectors, and export the surplus. The Minister also showcased the strategic importance of petrochemical products in keeping up with the state’s plans and serving its development goals by providing new local and foreign investment opportunities.
