Green Car Incentives Program to Cost 7.1 B in First Phase

The Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, stated that the first stage of green car incentive program will cost EGP 7.1 billion to convert 250 vehicles over 20 years old with new vehicles to run on natural gas in seven governorates, as part of an initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

Cabinet Approves Green Incentives to Convert Cars to Natural Gas

The Cabinet headed by Mostafa Madboulfy, the Prime Minister, approved to finance the proposed green incentive for car owners, as part of the President’s initiative, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to replace obsolete cars to run on natural gas.

Go Green Exhibition Sees Huge Turnout

The Minister of Industry and Trade, Neveen Gamea, held a press conference to present the outcomes of Go Green exhibition, where she emphasized that there is a great citizens’ turnout on the initiative's website of natural gas car conversion as the total number of the registers during the exhibition days reached about 20,000 citizens, including 10,000 citizens who applied to benefit from the initiative.

Car Gas, Gastec Sign Contracts with Chillout

The Natural Gas Vehicles Company (Car Gas) and Egyptian International Gas Technology (Gastec) signed contracts to provide Chillout, which is a subsidiary of the National Company for Roads, with 24 plots of land for establishing new natural gas stations in line with the presidential initiative of natural gas vehicles conversion (NGVC).

MoP Signs 26 E&P Agreements in 2018-2020

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources signed 26 agreements for exploration and production (E&P) activities to develop petroleum reserves in addition to pumping $6.3 billion in investments from 2018 to 2020, according to a detailed report by the Cabinet offering a two-year insight on the government's work program in the aforementioned timeframe.
