“This facility reflects our commitment to create a long-lasting presence and strategic partnership in Egypt.. It is more than just a maintenance facility; it is a testimony to TAQA’s shareholders’ commitment to further invest in Egypt, demonstrating our ambition to be a major player in the promising future of the Egyptian energy sector,” Khalid Nouh, TAQA’s CEO said.

The CEO noted that  Egypt is a primary focus of the company’s efforts to advance carbon emission reduction and clean geothermal energy solutions.

Nouh also praised Egypt’s clear vision for diversifying energy sources, saying it mirrors TAQA’s values of being ‘progressive, boundless, and human.’

“We have to prioritize increasing production, focusing on exploration and accelerating discoveries to unlock the sector’s potential. TAQA is a true partner for us in this pillar, not only today but for the future,” Badawi said.

He pointed to TAQA’s collaboration in leveraging the infrastructure either for the oil and gas, mining sector or renewable resources, which comes in line with the ministry’s second and third pillars.

Additionally, the Minister emphasized  that the partnership with TAQA would unlock the potential of green energy, adding: “TAQA is a key enabler for Egypt to step into the future of green energy, whether we are talking about hydrogen, green hydrogen, green ammonia and beyond”
