PETRONAS Egypt Empowers 1,600 Students at Mustafa Musharafa School with a Computer Lab

Under the patronage of Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, PETRONAS, through its subsidiary in Egypt,  inaugurated a newly refurbished computer lab at Mustafa Musharafa School on September 29. This initiative will enable over 1,600 students to develop essential digital skills and integrate technology into their learning.

The initiative is part of PETRONAS Egypt's commitment to supporting education and community development, while contributing to Egypt’s Vision 2030 goals for inclusive and equitable learning opportunities.

AMOC Exceeds Production Targets While Expanding African Export Markets

The Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC) output of oils and waxes reached 172,000 tons in the fiscal year (FY) 2024/25, representing 108% of the target for the year. This was achieved while maintaining a production mix of the most profitable fuels like diesel, naphtha, and butane gas, with an overall production of 442,000 tons, Maged ElKordy, Chairman of the company, stated.

Abu Qir Fertilizers Expands Exports to 22 Countries, Cuts 1.3MT of CO₂ Emissions in FY 2024/25

Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemical Industries Company supplied the Ministry of Agriculture with 17 million fertilizer bags and exported its production to 22 countries, generating foreign currency revenues of $317 million in fiscal year (FY) 2024/2025, said Chairman Hany Dahy in the company’s general assembly meeting. It also sold ammonia and solid fertilizers locally at free-market prices.

Eni to Invest $8 Bn in Egypt’s Oil, Gas Sector Over Five Years

Eni plans to inject a total of $8 billion into the Egyptian market over the next five years, in cooperation with its partners, according to Guido Brusco, Eni Chief Operating Officer Global Natural Resources. The investment will be directed toward developing existing fields and conducting further exploration.

Harbour Energy to Expand Natural Gas Investments in Disouq, West Nile Delta

UK-based Harbour Energy plans to boost natural gas production from its projects in Egypt, including the Disouq field in the Nile Delta and offshore fields in the West Nile Delta, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said in a statement. In addition, the company outlined a three-year investment program targeting additional output from its concessions in partnership with bp.

EBIOL, TCC Agree to Fast-Track Bioethanol Project in Damietta

Agiba Petroleum Boosts Iris, Arcadia West Production to 12,000 Boe/d in Western Desert

Agiba Petroleum Company, one of Eni’s joint ventures in Egypt, has increased the production rates from its Iris and Arcadia West areas in the Western Desert to 12,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d). This marks a significant 4,100 boe/d increase in output from the Iris field, which previously had a production rate of 7,900 boe/d, after the Iris-5 well was recently brought online, adding 2,000 barrels per day (b/d).
