A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, received the Ambassador of Romania to Egypt, Mihai Ștefan Stuparu.
During the meeting, El Molla stressed on the distinguished political and economic relations between Egypt and Romania, pointing out that there is a high level of coordination between the two countries.
He also highlighted that there are great opportunities of cooperation in the oil and gas industry, especially with the Egyptian efforts to attract foreign direct investment into the sector in order to become a regional hub.
From his side, Stuparu stated that Egypt is an important partner of Romania, adding that the two countries are witnessing continuous development of bilateral relations.
Moreover, the ambassador highlighted that both countries are having a will to support cooperation and mentioned that Egypt is a gateway to the African countries.
Romania is aiming to benefit from Egyptian experiences in training, technology transfer and investment opportunities in the oil and natural gas industry.
