SUCO Revenues Increase to EGP 2.4 Billion, Implementing 5 New Projects

The Suez Oil Company (SUCO) said its refinery of crude oil increased to 1.6 million tons in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018/19, with a growth rate reaching 36% more than the previous year. This resulted in meeting the needs of the domestic market of gasoline categories of 80 and 92 as well as butane and diesel, as reported by Head of SUCO, Mohamed Eliwa, via  Al-Ahram.

While reviewing the company’s achievements this FY, Eliwa pointed out that SUCO’s total production revenue is EGP 2.4 billion, adding that SUCO is implementing four new projects related to developing its performance, operation and capacity, adopting the latest professional, safety and health measures.

Meanwhile, SUCO, Eliwa indicated, is establishing a new unit to produce asphalt, aiming to produce 396 tons annually. Let alone, implementing two renovation projects related to safety and environment protection to improve operational economies.

SUCO is jointly owned by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and German company RWE DEA.
