Shell Oman Marketing announced that it commenced aviation fuel supply business at Duqm airport as a part of its efforts to expand its operation in the port city of Duqm, a press release reported.
On this occasion, CEO at Shell Oman Marketing, Mohammed Al Balushi, said, “Shell Oman Marketing is uniquely positioned to deliver global fuel technology and operational excellence to local and international customers in Duqm. We truly value our long-standing partnership with the key stakeholders in Oman’s aviation sector, which is evident from our position as the sole fuel farm operator at both Muscat and Salalah airports, and now with Shell Oman’s Aviation fuel business actively operating in Duqm.”
Duqm airport is a gateway into a region with significant, economic, industrial and commercial potential as well as great potential for becoming a part of the tourism industry.
It is wort noting that Shell began to sell aviation fuel in Oman since 1962 through Bait Al Falaj Airport. Since the opening of Muscat International Airport, shell has become a supplier of jet fuel, lubricants and consultancy services in the Omani aviation sector.
