Schneider Electric launched the “Conext SmartGen” an intelligent, cloud-connected 1500V utility scale power conversion system, in the presence of Leaders from the Ministry of Electricity and the Ministry of Military Production, Al Borsa informed. This comes in efforts to reduce costs for renewable energy systems.

Managing Director of Schneider Electric in Egypt, Waleed Shata, said that the company is focusing on providing the Egyptian energy sector in general , and solar energy sector in specific, which is one of the most promising sectors in Egypt. He also explained that the “SmartGen” supports the Egyptian energy strategy, which aims to reach a production level of 20% of the energy mix by 2022.

On his side, Deputy CEO of Schneider Electric North Africa, Sherif Said Abdel Fattah, said the new product is designed to provide the highest capacity of energy efficiency and reduce the production cost in both short and long terms, bringing about the utmost efficiency of performance for 30 years in tough working environments.
