Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) has declared that its affiliate EVA Film Plant (EVA), owned by Saudi Specialized Products Company (SSPC), began commercial operations on January 1, Mubasher reported.

After successfully ending the plants’s performance tests, the production capacity will reach around 4,000 metric tons (MT) of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Film, according to a company statement.

“The financial impact of full commercial operations will be reflected in the company’s financial results as of the first quarter of 2019,” the Tadawul-listed firm added.

The $39.98 million plant, located in Hail Industrial City, is considered the first of its kind in the GCC region.
