Nigeria’s PPMC Sold $2.75b of Petroleum Products

According to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Monthly Operations and Financial Reports for June 2016, the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) earned $2.75b from the sales of petroleum products in 12-months, from July 2015 to June 2016, Vanguard reported.

The amount was earned from the sales of 10.74b liters of white products during the period, comprising of Premium Motor Spirit petrol at slightly over 89% of revenues, Automotive Gasoline Oil and Dual Purpose Kerosene, according to Sweet Crude Reports.

The report concluded that PPMC earned around $20m , from July 2015 to June 2016, from the sales of special products, including Low Pour Fuel Oil. Yet, the company posted a deficit of $10m in its operations for the first six months of 2016, citing incessant vandalism and products theft as the reasons behind the company’s poor performance.
