PMS Chairman Follows Up on Offshore Pipeline Installation at West Burullus Field

The Chairman of Petroleum Marine Services (PMS), Amr Badawi, has inspected the PMS 11 marine unit at the West Burullus field in Idku. His visit was to oversee the progress of laying a 14-inch diameter offshore pipeline, which is part of the West Burullus field development project.

The Chairman began the inspection tour by emphasizing the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) directives to apply the highest standards of safety and secure operations.

He received a detailed presentation on the status of the pipeline installation, which is being carried out using advanced automatic welding technology on the PMS 11 marine unit. He praised the quality of performance and the productivity rates achieved.

The pipeline installation process was executed using the latest technical capabilities, specifically designed for laying and installing offshore pipelines.

Additionally, the company will install two offshore platforms as part of the West El Burullus Petroleum Company (PetroWeb) project, which aims to maximize natural gas production from the offshore West El Burullus field.

At the conclusion of the tour, the Chairman underscored the importance of accelerating the remaining operations of the project while adhering to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) measures.
