Nigeria Seeks Stable Petroleum Distribution

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has requested the support of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to guarantee efficient distribution of petroleum products nationwide from September till December 2016. The company wants to make sure that petroleum products reach all Nigerians at the approved selling rates, reported by This Day.

NNPC’s Managing Director,Maikanti Baru urged IPMAN to use its vast network of distribution outlets in the downstream sector across the country to provide petroleum products to Nigerians, according to All Africa.

He also wanted to make sure that the retail price band for all petroleum products approved by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) was used across all its retail outlets.

Baru, charged IPMAN to take advantage of the liberalization policy in the downstream sector by the federal government to import petroleum products into the country to guarantee steady supply of petroleum products.
