Nigeria, Angola to Search for a New Consensus on Oil Prices

Nigeria and Angola have agreed to cooperate in reaching out to other oil producing countries in an attempt to find a new consensus amid the dwindling oil prices in the global market, PMNewsNigeria reported.

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari agreed with his Angolan counterpart, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, that there was no logic in producing more oil for less money, given the two countries’ dependence on oil for sustaining their national economies. The leaders ponder an urgent meeting between Angolan and Nigerian Oil Ministers to find a way forward.

The agreement was concluded at the sidelines of the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Johannesburg, South Africa, Naija247 added.
