Libya to Move Oil from Ras Lanuf Port

Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC), is looking to charter an Aframax tanker to load 80,000t of crude oil from its major Ras Lanuf terminal and deliver to its Zawia refinery. Loading dates haven’t been specified but are expected to be during mid September, reported Trade Arabia.

In August, NOC loaded aboard the New Hellas 150,000 b/d of stored crude oil from Zueitina export terminal and delivered to Zawia for the first time since the port was shut down in November 2015, wrote Argus Media.

Egypt Oil&Gas reported late August that NOC sent vessels to begin loading oil at the country blockade ports, after rival forces stationed in the area agreed to let them dock and take the oil to safety. At the time of the report, port officials stressed that the terminals remained closed, but vessels had started emptying storage tanks and reservoirs.
