Kuwait, Rabat agree to explore for oil in Morocco

Kuwait and Morocco, at the end of a joint oil and gas committee meeting, agreed to carry out oil exploration projects in Morocco.
Both sides signed the minute of the meetings which focused on possibility of establishing oil exploration projectsin Morocco by the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) and the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Minerals, Abbas Ali Naqi, undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil, told KUNA.
Both sides, he said, discussed means Kuwaiti private sector’s investments in Morocco particularly in oil refining and drilling for natural gas.
Naqi described as “important” the discussions with Moroccan minister of energy and mining Amina ben Khadhra.
He said ben Khadhra underlined importance that KUFPEC carry out oil exploration projects in Morocco.
