Korra Energi Posts Fivefold Jump in H1 2026 Contracts

Korra Energi, a leading Egyptian provider of energy efficiency solutions and contracting services, secured EGP 5.1 billion in new contracts during the first half (H1) of 2026—a massive leap from EGP 1.1 billion in the corresponding period of 2025, noted a company disclosure to the Egyptian stock market. More significantly, Foreign currency-denominated contracts accounted for 45% of new contract value in H1 2026, bolstering foreign exchange reserves and easing international project obligations.

The current backlog of contracts reached approximately EGP 15.7 billion (up from EGP 13.6 billion in H1 2025), reflecting the company’s success in securing strategic, high-value projects that demand advanced technical expertise and execution capabilities and support expectations for continued revenue growth and operational expansion to deliver sustainable value for shareholders, according to the disclosure.

This performance fed its revenues during the first half of the year, reaching EGP 3.2 billion, despite regional geopolitics that had a minor, limited impact on the energy, construction, and power systems sectors, where some clients delayed commencing new projects by a few months. The disclosure didn’t include the corresponding revenue figure for 2025.

Korra Energi also achieved significant profit growth in the energy, construction, and power systems sector, reaching EGP 601 million—a 9.87% increase from its level in H1 2025 despite the increase in oil prices and depreciation of the Egyptian pound.

Besides the integrated energy efficiency and infrastructure solutions, the company has diversified operations spanning electromechanical contracting, power generation, facility management, and agricultural exports. .

Excluding the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations, the company’s adjusted net profit reached EGP 165 million in H1 2026, compared to EGP 147 million in H1 2025—representing a 12.2% growth and reflecting a solid improvement in the company’s core operational performance.

During the first half of 2026, Korra Energi secured a number of strategic projects, the most prominent of which is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the substation associated with the Gabal El Zeit wind farm, covering high-voltage Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D). “This represents a major strategic milestone toward diversifying the company’s business portfolio and unlocking new growth opportunities within the infrastructure and energy sectors.

The company started trading on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on June 11, 2026, following an initial public offering (IPO) of an 11% stake.
